Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Starkeep handles information when you use the app. Starkeep is designed to work with minimal personal data and does not require you to create a traditional account with a name, email address, or password.

Information Starkeep uses

• Anonymous account identifier. Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous user ID so your cloud data can be associated with your app account without requiring a name or email address.
• Focus-session records. Starkeep may store session timing, planned and focused minutes, session tag, full/partial completion state, and related timestamps.
• Lumen ledger entries. Earn and spend records are stored so your lumen balance can be derived accurately.
• Room-object ownership. Starkeep may store which in-app room objects you have acquired and basic placement state.
• Purchase and entitlement state. RevenueCat processes subscription and in-app purchase status so Starkeep can determine whether premium cosmetic content is unlocked.
• Crash information. Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash diagnostics and technical information needed to identify and fix app failures.

Local device data

Starkeep also stores data locally on your device, including session history needed for offline use, ledger records, room-object ownership, active-session state, pending sync operations, and app settings. Local storage is used so the focus timer can continue to work without a network connection.

What Starkeep does not use in v1

• No advertising SDKs.
• No Google Analytics or other product-analytics SDK in v1.
• No sale of personal data.
• No precise-location collection for time-of-day or seasonal presentation.
• No microphone, speech-recognition, camera, contact, or sensor collection as part of the Starkeep focus experience.

Why information is used

The information above is used to operate Starkeep's core features, keep session and lumen records accurate, synchronize your data, restore premium access, diagnose crashes, and support account/data deletion.

Third-party services

• Firebase Authentication — anonymous account identity.
• Cloud Firestore — cloud storage for session, ledger, and room-object records.
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash diagnostics.
• RevenueCat — purchase and premium-entitlement management.
• Google Play and, when available, Apple App Store — app distribution and purchase processing.

Data retention

Starkeep keeps app data for as long as it is needed to provide your account and app history, unless you request deletion. Store providers and payment processors may retain transaction records separately under their own legal and operational requirements.

Account and data deletion

You can request deletion of your Starkeep account and app data from within the app when that feature is available, or without the app by following the instructions at starkeep.arcanumworld.org/delete.

Changes

If Starkeep's data practices materially change, this policy will be updated before or alongside the relevant app release.
